  • What is private soccer training?
Private soccer training is done in addition to team training sessions, and should not be done instead of team training sessions. Whereas team training is focused on systems and getting teams to play as a unit, our sessions are technique based and focus on development of each player as an individual. Players can then apply what they learn in a team setting. Pro teams around the world now have their own in-house technique coaches, and we want to offer this regardless of the club you play at.
  • Where are your facilities based?
Depending on the time of year, we operate out of various indoor and outdoor locations.
  • How much does a session cost?
Session cost depends on the type of service. You can find all prices on the bookings section of our website.
  • How long are your sessions?
Sessions are 1 hour in duration, unless stated otherwise. It is advised to arrive a few minutes early for your session as timekeeping is something we are strict on.
  • What makes your training different?
Everyone who does one session with us, tend to stick around for the long-term. 1on1 coaching or private training often has a bad reputation especially in the United States. It is something that club or school coaches do in their spare time for some extra money in the summer with a bag of soccer balls and some cones, often turning up a couple of minutes before the session start time (if they turn up at all). We are a full-time business completely committed to private training. Our communication prior to the session is detailed and timely, and we will always have the session set up prior to your arrival which means starting on time. You can also schedule your sessions 2-3 months in advance, making it easier for busy parents to manage their schedules and plan ahead. Sessions are well planned and delivered with a constant level of engagement.
  • Who is the training for?
We work with all ages and abilities. As long as the player has the desire to improve and learn, then we want to work with you.
  • How often should I schedule 1on1 sessions?
It depends. We would advise once a week on a consistent basis to see the most benefits. However, depending on the time of year, this can be difficult for families. For example, for high school players, they will work with us consistently throughout the year, and then take a break for 2-3 months during their season. We have found that blocks of training are more beneficial. For example, it is better to do 10 sessions in a row on a weekly basis rather than once a month for 10 months. This means that the work we are doing can become a habit and is not forgotten. Ultimately, we are flexible and will work with you to do what is best for your schedule.
  • Can parents watch sessions?
Of course! However, we would ask that parents do not interfere in sessions as this will disrupt the flow of the session for the player. For 1 hour, we want complete focus without distractions.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
For all in-person coaching sessions, cancellation is required at least 24 hours before the session start time. If cancellation is made within 24 hours of the session start time, the client is obligated to pay for the full session. If a client is on a package, then the session will be deducted from the package. If a client does not show up for a session without prior notification, full payment for the session is required. For any questions regarding our returns or cancellation policy, please email contact@curransocceracademy.com
